Abbiamo ritrovato una copia di Sciascia tra una pila di libri usati in una bottega, da lì è partita la nostra esplorazione...
Raymond Roussel muore a Palermo il 14 Luglio 1933. Nella stanza 224 dell'Hotel de Palmes Roussel si spoglia, tenendo solo la camicia e i calzini; chiude la porta della sua camera a chiave, chiude la finestra, ingoia alcune pillole da un flacone, trascina il materasso dal letto al centro della stanza, ci si sdraia e muore... È veramente morto? O ha semplicemente attraversato una soglia?

Leonardo Sciascia wrote the essay Acts Relating to the Death of Raymond Roussel, in which he investigates the suicide case as an enigma, retracing the acts the writer performed the night before his death.
We found a copy of Sciascia among a pile of used books in a shop, from there our exploration began…
Raymond Roussel died in Palermo on 14 July 1933. In room 224 of the Hotel de Palmes, Roussel undresses, keeping only his shirt and socks; he locks the door of his room, closes the window, swallows some pills from a bottle, drags the mattress from the bed to the centre of the room, lies down on it and dies…
Is he really dead? Or has he simply crossed a threshold?
